Olivia Tagorda
Biography
I'm a young artist that's very fortunate to work as the Creative Director for a local Gig Harbor children's theater called French Toast! Here, I teach up to four theatre classes per season for ages anywhere from 5 to 13. My main job is to vocal direct and choreograph our older kids' musicals. I've put on about 8 productions with this company since starting with them last year, including Moana, Frozen, and Matilda. During our mainstage performances, I also act as a Prop/Set Master, as well as Musical Director. I've been lucky enough to be able to write short plays for our young 5-8 age group to perform.
I got my start in theatre and music in elementary school, where I performed in school plays and began my band journey. During my time in band, I played clarinet as well as learning violin outside of school. I've taken lessons for several years now for voice and music theory, as well as private study in the Meisner Technique, and songwriting. I'm currently pursuing a Bachelors of Fine Arts, that I would like to use to continue my work in musical theatre.
