Nedelle Torrisi

Biography

I grew up studying the violin and voice, and performing in musicals. I attended Berklee College of Music on a jazz vocal scholarship, and completed my Bachelor of Arts at San Francisco State University. As a solo artist, I have released albums on respected independent labels like Kill Rock Stars and Ethereal Sequence/Drag City. With my previous band Cryptacize, I released two albums with Sufjan Stevens’ Asthmatic Kitty label. I am also a singer on his album, Carrie and Lowell.

Currently I am in my first year of the BMI Musical Theater Workshop as a lyricist.
