Matilde Heckler
Biography
Matilde Heckler is a multi-instrumentalist, teacher, and composer currently based in Boston. Working primarily as an acoustic and electric violinist, she has extensive performance experience across all genres. She has performed with Mark Woods, The Berks Sinfonietta, The Reading Symphony Youth Orchestra, numerous community pit orchestras, peer bands, and more. Aside from violin, she is also an accomplished violist, pianist, bassist, singer/songwriter, and at times, actress.
Her passion primarily lies in breaking the bounds of the music she makes. As a classically trained violinist she has mastered the techniques to start breaking the rules. You can often find her making rock, pop, or jazz music with her instrument. Her self-titled artist project is a testament to this ideology where she makes indie rock music fueled by fierce vocals and intricate violin melodies.
She is currently pursuing a degree at the Berklee College of Music in Music Business Marketing and Violin Performance. On the business side of the industry, she is heavily involved in artist management and marketing. She has a passion for taking the visions of others and helping them to flourish. There isn't a single thing about the industry that Matilde isn't passionate about.
