Biography

Marisa Giorgetti Callan is an accomplished professor of music who teaches in the Music Department at Sterling College. With her deep passion for choral music, she is the Director of Choral Activities, leading and inspiring students to pursue vocal excellence. Marisa's expertise extends beyond the classroom as she takes on the role of Music Director for two musical productions each year, showcasing her talent for coordinating captivating performances.

Marisa is an accomplished Music Director and accompanist with a wealth of experience in musical theatre. As a Music Director, Marisa oversees all aspects of a musical production, from selecting the repertoire and arranging the music to conducting rehearsals and ensuring the performance runs smoothly.

She has a Master of Music in conducting and years of teaching private voice lessons at the collegiate level. Before joining Sterling College, Marisa honed her craft in the vibrant theater scene of Southern California. Collaborating with regional theaters, she contributed her musical expertise to numerous productions, leaving an indelible mark on the local performing arts community.

Having dedicated nine years to Sterling College, Marisa has become an integral part of the institution's music department, enriching students' lives through her passion for music education and unwavering dedication to the art form. Her tireless efforts have undoubtedly shaped the musical landscape of the college and inspired countless students to pursue their musical dreams.
