Biography

Mara Jill Herman is a creative who builds programming and inspires personal enrichment in The Arts. She raised $5,000 as Director/Producer of "Stronger Than Hate: A Benefit for Tree of Life Synagogue." Recognition includes Young Alumni Service Award (UArts) and National YoungArts Foundation winner.

Leading roles include "On The Town" (Hildy), "Rent" (Maureen), and "Guys and Dolls" (Adelaide). Developmental highlights include "The Band’s Visit" (Playwrights Horizons) and "Sam’s Room" (Theatre Barn’s Impact Award). As a soloist, she has appeared at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Feinstein's/54 Below, and with the Orchestra Japan in "Disney On Classic." She regularly appears with the all-female vintage group, America’s Sweethearts. Discopgraphy includes "Disney On Classic" (A Magical Night, Brillante), "West Side Story," "Mamma Mia" (Stage Stars Records), "Together" (Paul Zim Productions), "What I Wanna Be When I Grow Up" (Billy-Boo Records, Scott Alan, composer), and "The Battery’s Down" (Ghostlight Records).
