Lynea Diaz-Hagan
Biography
Based in San Francisco, Lynea writes, directs, and produces solo shows, plays, screenplays, and musical work and is a Founding Artist of the ORO Arts Lab, an incubator for emerging Bay Area artists. She is also an installation artist, focused on projects that combine narrative text, photography, and sound.
As a playwright-director, Lynea’s received a 2019 Literary Artist Commission for playwriting from the San Francisco Arts Commission, as well as development and production grants from Theatre Bay Area (2021, 2018) and the Zellerbach Family Foundation (2019). She is currently developing TIAMAT (opera libretto) with the support of a CA$H grant from Theatre Bay Area. As a new music and jazz vocalist, she has performed at venues throughout the Bay Area.
