Biography

A self-taught songwriter with a Billboard Song contest Honorable Mention for her song "Worth Waiting For," Li spent years performing with her original band Li Mann & the Warped Minds in the 1980s in clubs in NYC such as CBGBs, The Bitter End, The Cat Club, Kenny's Castaways, and with Top 40 acts in Chelsea Place/NYC and other NYC area clubs and occasional national band tours. Li's now exploring musical theater writing by co-writing the book and writing all the original music and lyrics for a musical comedy called "Save The Girl" the musical. "Save The Girl" the musical is set in the 1980s and follows a rock singer who returns to her hometown for a concert after "making it big" and disappears during her encore...or does she? Featuring 1980's style rock and rap music, "Save The Girl" the musical had its world premier Staged Reading on October 3, 2022 in the Emerging Artists Theater Fall 2022 New Works Series.
