Lauren Cregor

Biography

Lauren Cregor is a composer, pianist, singer/songwriter whose work with the off-Broadway theater company Waterwell was dubbed "Brilliant, original and inspired" by the New York Times. She has released two albums and performs all around NYC with her 6-piece band. She composes for film, commercials, dance, and choirs, and received a Meet The Composer grant for her work with students of many ages. She writes and teaches children's music, reveling in the unabashed joy with which they receive, process, and then produce their own "joyful noise." She arranges vocal music for a wide variety of ages and produces/directs an annual concert to benefit St Jude's. Along with Anna Dagmar, she proudly leads Maestra Moms -- a community of fiercely talented, smart, gracious, hilarious, and supportive women. Her own two children inspire her daily to find the joy -- and the song -- in everything.
