Biography

Lalit is a book writer-lyricist-producer from Thailand. In the Thai theatre community, she is remembered for TIMELINE the Musical which she wrote, produced and performed at her wedding.

Her works have been featured in BREAKOUT: a Family Drama Zoomsical 2020 (New Musicals Inc), BANGKOKIAN: A Concept Musical 2020 (FahFun Production), the Thailand Creative & Design Center’s Creative & Design Showcase 2022 and the Musical Theatre & Character Showcase 2022 (The Eh with Art) and the Duality of Home Exhibition 2023 at Samyan Mitrtown. She also wrote for and produced Mahanakhon On Stage for Bangkok Design Week 2023, as well as Know Your Worth: A Cabaret for Bangkok Theatre Festival 2023.

Apart from that, she has co-written the book for a Rachadalai musical (Thailand’s largest theatrical production company) and has written lyrics for a an LA-based musical film, a semi-final in Sundance’s Development Track.

In her writing, she blends cheeky humor with deep soul-searching, approaching her craft with a romantic zeal for life. Her goal is to echo not only her own journey and the lives of those close to her but also to capture the shared experiences that silently echo within so many of us.

As the first Thai word artist in the NYU Tisch Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program, she brings a unique perspective to storytelling. Her academic journey includes a BA in Philosophy from University College London (UCL) and an MSt in Entrepreneurship from the University of Cambridge. Committed to shaping the future of the theatre world, she is an active member of the MUSE Steering Committee and leads as the Head of Outreach & DEI at TRU YPAC (Young Professional Artists Circle).
