Kristin Eley is a songwriter, music director, teacher, and performer residing in Brooklyn. She is currently on faculty at the United Nations International School as middle school choir director and musical theatre teacher, music director for all productions, and voice teacher. She has also worked for Camp Broadway as a music director, for The New York Pops as a teaching artist, for Piper Theatre Company as a director, for SAK Comedy Lab as an improv pianist, and for Orange County Public Schools in Orlando, FL as an elementary music teacher.
Kristin is a storyteller that most enjoys writing about family dynamics, queer love, and the wonder of being heard. She released her debut EP, Little Yellow Room, in 2019. She is currently writing her first musical, Queer Christian Show, and several choral pieces for her students.
Kristin has sung in all sorts of wonderful venues like Rockwood Music Hall, Pianos, The Bitter End, Birdland, and Mary, Queen of the Universe. She has also sung with wonderful people, like Allegra Levy, The Shrine Choir, Due South, The Helena Collective, The Orlando Philharmonic, and many other magical musicians. She sings with a "crystalline" earnestness, and excels in tight vocal harmonies.
