Biography

Koryn Orcutt is a Seattle based singer-songwriter and multiple woodwind instrumentalist. She received her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Multiple Woodwind Performance at the University of North Texas. During her studies, she performed on oboe, bassoon and clarinet with various chamber groups, orchestras and wind band ensembles. Koryn has also recorded with the UNT Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band and Symphony Orchestra. She can now be found performing in the theatre pit orchestras all over the Seattle Metropolitan area.

As a writer, Koryn has written and released many singles. Many are repped in sync licensing catalogs for tv, film and ads and one of her songs was featured in the 2020-2021 season at Village Theatre. She has also written songs for the 5th Avenue's "15 Minute Stories" project, and was a commissioned writer for the 5th Avenue and Village Theater's Northwest by Northwest program. She is currently writing book, lyrics and music for her first musical, Finding Our Way Back.
