Kayla Capone Kasper

Biography

Kayla is a voice teacher and vocal director with a BA in Music and over 8 years of professional experience. She maintains a full private voice studio and is an adjunct professor of voice at Lebanon Valley College. She initially studied classically, and has now crossed over into musical theatre and contemporary styles. She continues her education by taking courses and workshops each year such as Amanda Flynn's Vocal Pedagogy Course and Penn State's Bel Canto Can Belto Workshop. Her clients are in top schools including Interlochen, Harvard, Ithaca, and Manhattan School of Music. She has clients working on Broadway, National Tours, Regional Theatres, and local theatres, as well as in film/TV. This summer she presented on a panel at the NATS 57th National Conference in Chicago about using social media as a marketing tool for independent voice teachers. She herself is a working actor and has performed across the East Coast at places such as The Fulton and The Green Room 42. She has vocal directed high school and local theatre's productions. Kayla has a Tik Tok @kaylacaponekasper following of over 21K for her educational content about the voice and theatre. She also has an Instagram Live Series called "In Conversation With" where she talks with a different professional in the industry to share their experiences with others. Past guests have included Natalie Weiss, Alexa Green, Brandon Powers, and Eleri Ward.

She and her husband are expecting their first child this fall 2022, so she is currently on maternity leave until the new year.
