Kate Chadwick
Biography
Kate Chadwick (bookwriter/lyricist) graduated from UC Irvine (high honors in musical theatre performance), the Oxford School of Drama in the UK (certificate in acting performance), and NYU’s Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program (mentor: William Finn). She had a showcase of her songs in William Finn’s Cabaret series at Barrington Stage in the summer of 2015, a short-opera at Hartford Opera, and a reading of her new musical, Butterflies, at Barrington Stage in 2017 (directed by Graciela Daniele, and starring Donna McKechnie). She’s had her songs performed at the National Asian Artists Project, “Ridiculously Talented” at Barrington Stage, Barrington Stage’s Musical Shorts Festival, Sardi’s, 54 Below, The York Theatre, The Laurie Beechman, and most recently, she’s had three musicals workshopped at UC Irvine.
