Jeanette Stenson
Biography
Cellist Jeanette Stenson hailed as “first-class” playing with “captivating tone colours” and “great poise” (Deryk Barker) seeks to inspire and uplift humanity with her multi-genre musical career.
Jeanette has performed as Solo Cello most recently with the North American Tour of Les Miserables. Broadway experience: Cats, An American in Paris, Spring Awakening, If/Then, and King Charles III. Off Broadway credits: Daddy Long Legs and Extraordinary Extremities. Notable film credits: Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close and SIGN.
Jeanette is an avid educator. Long-term Suzuki certification from The School for Strings with Pamela Davenport. She works as an audition coach clinician, holds a private teaching studio, and currently teaches in Conroe ISD.
She earned a Masters in Orchestral Performance from Manhattan School of Music working with Alan Stepansky. Jeanette holds a tenured position with the Allentown Symphony and has extensive New York City orchestral freelance experience. She currently resides in Houston, TX and frequents NYC.
