Ianthe Onelia Marini
Biography
Dr. Marini has her Doctorate of Musical Arts (DMA) in Conducting and was the American Prize Winner in Conducting (2019). For four years she was The Paul S. and Jean R. Amos Distinguished Chair for Choral Activities at the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University in GA where she also served as Chorus Master for the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. Her choir was invited to sing at Carnegie Hall, and Marini served as Chorus Master for the National Concerts Carnegie Hall premiere of Jocelyn Hagen's piece "The Notebooks of Leonardo". She is currently an LA-based conductor and actor and the Associate Producer for Realm Pictures International. While a Doctoral Graduate Assistant at the University of Maryland she served as Professional Chorus Master for the National Symphony Orchestra and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra for three years and prepared the chorus for a number of professional collaborations for the NSO at the Kennedy Center, as well as for the BSO at Meyerhoff Performance Hall.
