Hannah Hope Rose

Biography

Music director, actor. Hannah graduated from DePaul University's music education program in 2001. Since then she has worked as a general and instrumental (strings) music teacher for elementary students, a preschool music teacher, vocal audition coach, and MD. She's a full time parent to a baseball player/drummer and a ballerina/actor, full time spouse, full time CEO of the household, and full time "M-Uber" driver. As a result, she is a part-time music director and extremely-part-time actor. Hannah is currently employed by Sarah Hall Theatre Company in Glencoe, IL, celebrating a decade as the music director for the Broadway Bound program (grades 3-6)...and--in emergencies--the sound designer and engineer, as she is also a professional "fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pantsuit"er. She has served as the music director for various community theatres on Billy Elliot, Gypsy, Annie, and many TYA productions. Her upcoming MD project is School of Rock (November 2022). As an actor, her favorite roles include Donna in Mamma Mia, The Witch in Into the Woods, and Mrs. Wormwood in Matilda.
