Gretchen Amstutz
Biography
Gretchen Amstutz has been the conductor and musical director for over 30 musical productions in the Los Alamos, Santa Fe and Albuquerque New Mexico areas. “Carousel” marked her first musical direction for Los Alamos Light Opera with the most recent productions being “Guys and Dolls”, “The Addams Family” and “Matilda” with LALO and “The Mikado” and “Fun Home” with the Albuquerque Adobe Theater and Santa Fe Playhouse.
She holds a Bachelor of Music (Honors) from the University of Utah, and was a music educator in the Los Alamos Public School system for 13 years.
Her most recent endeavor will be conductor for the Santa Fe Playhouse’s production of “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder” in the summer of 2023.
