  • Biography

    Georgia is a singer, composer, researcher and director, exploring theatrical and vocal work. Georgia trained at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance under Errollyn Wallen CBE, Professor Deirdre Gribbin and Professor Paul Newland. She is now pursuing a Masters in Philosophy of Composition at the University of Cambridge with the support of the Countess of Munster Trust. She also trained in vocal studies with Linda Hirst and has taken part in workshops with Alwynne Pritchard and recorded works of Loré Lixenberg. Georgia’s music has been described, by Stephen Fry, as exhibiting ‘pockets of richness’ which ‘gain in rhythmic complexity’(2020) in relation to her piece for the Runswick Competition.

    Most recently, in 2021-4, Georgia has been commissioned by the Royal Opera House, the Central School of Speech and Drama, The London Mozart Players and Opera Prelude. She was commissioned by the Royal Opera to write a piece for the Jette Parker Young Artists and the Casco Phil as part of the Europalia Festival and International Women’s Day 2022. This project was a success and received high praise in the Guardian and The Telegraph.


    Georgia’s interest in theatre has expanded beyond composition. In 2020, she took part in the British Youth Theatre directing program and in 2021, she assistant directed Edward Jessen’s new opera, Syllable. In 2020, Georgia also bought an opera, A Time of Empty Tales, to the Tête à Tête Opera Festival. She continues to work in theatre through outreach work and has volunteered at Venus Blazing, a theatre company for teenagers with disabilities, and has worked in schools and community groups.

    In 2023, Georgia is looking forward to the premier of her new opera, Scarlet, supported by the Greenwich Blue Coat Foundation; with libretto by Olivia Bell. In 2023, Georgia also write a piece for Leeds Lieder Festival. She was interviewed for this on BBC Radio 3. Georgia is also currently producing 'OperaWorks 2023,' a conference for young singers for the charitable organisation, Opera Prelude. Georgia looks forward to Assistant Conducting the Southbank Sinfonia on the 16th March in celebration of composer, Stephen Montague's 80th Birthday celebration. As of June 2023, Georgia worked as a TV Researcher on the BBC Proms 2023. Her role included briefing talent, sourching archives and photographs for VTs and Shoots, and looking after/ briefing presenters and guests. Georgia was the researcher on the Bollywood Prom: Celebration of Lata Mangeshkar, Bomsori Plays Bruch, Yuja Wang plays Rachmaninoff and Mindful Mix .

    As of 2023/24, Georgia has been commissioned to write a short children's opera for Opera Prelude which will tour UK Childrens' literary festivals and Schools. First stop is the Isle of Wight Childrens' Literary Festival. This opera is based on the story 'The King's Pants' By Nichollas Allan. She is also continuing her research into the composition and commissioning processes of Micro-Opera at the University of Cambridge.

    Georgia is also a soprano, specialising in contemporary vocal technique. Please get in contact if you would like me to perform/ record your works.
