Eve Chosak

Biography

Eve Chosak, MFA, is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, performer, and conceptual artist whose work aims to empower sustainability and choice for communities and individuals. Her performances integrate sound art, experimental theater, puppetry, and commedia dell’arte, with influences from classical music, world music, jazz, and musical theater. She has written and directed musical productions and performed in theater productions, world music ensembles, community operas, and punk bands. Her multi-genre approach to expression incorporates dance, movement and visual media. She has taught expressive arts, arts-based community building, and interfaith music to children and adults for over 15 years. Chosak's formative studies include piano, cello, and singing soprano as a Classical Voice major at Indiana University School of Music. Her MFA studies at the Studio for Interrelated Media at Massachusetts College of Art emphasized performance art and experimental music. She completed additional training at the Berkeley Jazz Conservatory, Berkeley Rep School of Theatre, and American Conservatory Theater.
