Erin Marie Hoerchler
Biography
Erin Marie Hoercher is a theatrical composer, soprano, and musical director who has shared her “infectious enthusiasm for her work” (Amy Wilder, Columbia Tribune) with the Missouri Contemporary Ballet, St. Louis Symphony Musicians, and performers at New York University, University of Missouri, Grinnell College, and Stephens College. She has been awarded the ASCAP Frederick Loewe Scholarship. She won 1st Prize for Elementals for string quartet in the Webster University Young Composers Competition, the Eric T. Schabacker Recording and Music Business Scholarship, and was named a finalist for the Sinquefield Prize. She earned a Bachelor of Music in Composition from the University of Missouri, and currently attends the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
