Emily Weiss
Biography
American violinist Dr. Emily Weiss is an active and versatile performer of chamber and orchestral music. As a chamber musician, Emily has appeared with the Mannes American Composers Ensemble in the ensemble's Alice Tully Hall debut. Additionally, she has collaborated with the Newman and Oltman Guitar Duo in a concert that has been broadcast on WWFM, and has performed chamber music on the Chappaqua Orchestra, New Marlborough, and Bucks County music series.
As an orchestral violinist, she regularly performs as principal second violin of Orchestra 914, and section violinist with the Symphony of Westchester. Previously, Dr. Weiss served as concertmaster for Noli me Tangere the Opera in two performances at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., and of LoftOpera and the Mannes Orchestra. She was an orchestral fellow with the National Repertory Orchestra and has attended the Bowdoin International and Madeline Island Music Festivals.
