
Emily Weinkauf Kidder
Biography
Emily Weinkauf Kidder is an International Korean Adoptee and a Eugene, Oregon native who began formal piano lessons at age 3 while also studying ballet and tap. She was an ensemble member in the Eugene Festival of Musical Theater’s The Music Man and Princess Ying Yaowalak / Topsy in The King and I. Emily earned her MBA in Music Business from Southern New Hampshire University and Berklee College of Music and studied Piano Performance and Communication at University of Oregon and Corban University.
Emily is celebrating her 10th Season as Rehearsal and Orchestra Pianist for SHEDD THEATRICALS (favorites including Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, On the Town, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Oliver, Gypsy, and Guys & Dolls). A career highlight was performing at the Hult Center in the core orchestra as a keyboardist for the 2nd National Tour of Wicked.
Currently, Emily serves on the music faculty at Bushnell University School of Music and Performing Arts where she is an accompanist for vocal and instrumental studios, choral groups, instructor of Survey of Music Business, mentor for Grove Traveling Ensemble, and coordinator of marketing and ensemble bookings. She was also a music minister for nine years.
