Desiree Glazier-Nazro
Biography
Desiree Glazier-Nazro is a versatile percussionist and contractor with a diverse career. She has performed in dozens of musicals and shared the stage with acclaimed artists such as The Beach Boys, Andrea Bocelli, Tony Bennett, Hugh Jackman and Andy Williams. Recently, she showcased her organizational prowess as an orchestra contractor for the National Tour of "Into the Woods" at the historic Colonial Theater in Boston. In addition to her work in musical theater shows and national acts, Desiree is a regular performer with prestigious orchestras in the Boston area, including the renowned Handel and Haydn Society.
Desiree is also the co-founder of Steel Rhythm, a steel drum group with a global following. Alongside her husband, Adam Nazro, she has captivated audiences at prestigious events like the "Pre World Series Gala" at Fenway Park and The New England Patriots Cheerleaders' "Calendar Launch Party." With millions of views on their YouTube channel and music available on major streaming platforms, Desiree's role as the lead pan player of Steel Rhythm highlights her ability to enchant listeners across different musical genres.
Academically, Desiree holds degrees from The Hartt School of Music and The Boston Conservatory, reflecting her commitment to excellence. Outside of music, she enjoys travel, skiing, running marathons, and cherishing moments with loved ones.
