Biography

Danielle E. Moore (she/they) is a writer and composer. Her Audrey Hepburn concept musical "Audrey" was the recipient of a 2022 Players Theatre Off-Broadway Production Residency, a Bold New Musical Voices honoree from Helen Hayes Award-winning theater company Creative Cauldron (2023 D.C. regional premiere), a finalist for Winter Park Playhouse’s 2024 Florida Festival of New Musicals, and is represented for international licensing by Broadway DNA.

Her documusical "Ink & Paint" was presented by Emerging Artists Theatre’s New Work Series (a Time Out New York Critics’ Pick), and a semi-finalist for the Live & In-Color Musical Incubator (2023) as well as the SheNYC, SheATL, and SheLA Festivals (2024). Her interactive reality TV singing contest musical "CROSSOVER" was named to Philadelphia Inquirer’s “Theater to See This Week,” and she was recently tapped to lead a workshop for an installment of WWTNS’ storytime series featuring Eleri Ward and Netflix’s Abby Feldman.

A finalist for the 2021 Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project, Danielle was a member of Maestra Music’s 2023 mentee class, and named one of New York’s Best New Dramatists by playwright incubator Playground-NY (2023). Her comedy "These White Men Are Dangerous" was selected for Playground’s reading series, and was the recipient of a Kumu Kahua Theatre / Bamboo Ridge Press PlayWrite Award (December 2023). Danielle’s work has been supported by the University of Pennsylvania Office of the Provost’s Year of Innovation Grant, City of Philadelphia Illuminate the Arts Grant, and NYSCA/A.R.T. New York’s Creative Opportunity Fund.
