Biography
Cara Strauss is a woodwind doubler in Chicago, IL. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, she moved to Chicago in 2008 to pursue music degrees from DePaul University, where she received her Bachelor of Music in clarinet performance and performing arts management, and a Master of Music in clarinet performance. Cara has been performing in theaters across Chicago for the past 10 years, at theaters such as Porchlight Music Theater, Mercury Theater Chicago, Music Theater Works, and Paramount Theatre in Aurora.
Instruments include clarinet, e-flat clarinet, bass clarinet, soprano saxophone, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, flute, piccolo, and oboe.
