Brittany Monea' Harris

Biography

A Brooklyn based multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter and composer, Brittany Harris has performed all over New York's major venues such as Saturday Night Live with Shawn Mendez, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with Liam Gallager, multiple performances with The Lincoln Center, BRIC Jazz Festival, Carnegie Hall with the Manhattan Symphonie, The Apollo Theatre, The Wolftrap, The Dell, pit orchestral musician for the Moscow Ballet and many more!

Brittany is a recent graduate of New York Universities Master's program in Music Theory and Composition: Film Scoring, and has over 20 years of musical experience in performance, education, and composition. Serving as Director of Bands, Orchestra, and Choral, Programs throughout Michigan, New Jersey, and New York, she has conducted and coached ensembles to become performance ready since 2013.

Other affiliations include service on the executive board of The BRIDGE, a Brooklyn based Hip-Hop Orchestra, as the Senior Talent Acquisition Partner and Cellist.

Composer/ Co-creator of Good Night Black Child, a podcast of mediations and original folk-tale stories for children. Composer of original music for the film Dear Heaven 2022. Composer of original music for theatrical play- Of Flesh and Feathers- NYU 2022. Sound Designer for film - Good Dog 2022.

Brittany also actively performs with her band The Royal Green Rangers where she plays cello, electric bass, violin, guitar, and sings.

In her spare time, Brittany teaches private lessons and runs string based music ensemble after school program , with partner Leandria Lott, for students in Brooklyn neighborhoods- The Colorful Strings Ensemble.
