Anja Wood

Biography

With over 30 years performing as a professional musician, cellist Anja Wood has played on hundreds of NYC’s premier concerts, recordings, late night shows, and venues. She recorded and performed for artists such as Barbra Streisand, David Bowie, Harry Connick, Jr., Dave Matthews, Michael Jackson, Pearl Jam, Mary J. Blige, Trey Anastasio, and Foo Fighters, to name a few. Anja has also chaired many Broadway productions, most recently, Hamilton. Also actively performing in symphony orchestras, including American Ballet Theater, Westchester Philharmonic, New York Chorale Orchestra, American Symphony, American Composers Orchestra, and New York Symphonic Ensemble. Anja is the cellist in Rescue Squad Strings, named and created by Phish frontman Trey Anastasio.
