Biography
Amy Crafton is Co-Owner and Studio Manager of Kaleidoscope Sound Recording Studios, the Tri-State area's premier API Legacy Plus recording studio. Featuring a beautifully restored Steinway B, Hammond B3 and exceptional vintage gear from API, Neve, Neumann, AKG and more, Kaleidoscope Sound is the studio for New York's professional musicians. After graduating from the Juilliard School (clarinets/saxes/flute), Amy performed with the New World Symphony, the New York City Opera National Company, Jeunesses Musicales de France, the International Touring Company of West Side Story and Spoleto USA. Following a Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall Debut, as a founding member of the New Renaissance Chamber Artists (NRCA), Amy was co-recipient of the ASCAP/Chamber Music America First Prize for Adventurous Programming, as well as numerous NEA, NYSCA and Meet the Composer grants. Amy has performed in the Broadway pit orchestras for Lion King, Wicked and Riverdance. She has also worked composing and arranging multiple television/radio jingle spots and product lines for Hasbro, Inc., and GlobeKids.Com.
Amy is also proud mother of 17 year-old twins and when not at the studio or with the family, as an active yoga enthusiasts she can be found standing on her head.
