Amy Andrews
Biography
Amy Andrews is a New York City-based librettist/lyricist/songwriter. She wrote book and lyrics for “The American Dream,” an episode of the web series So Proudly We Hailed, which shares the true stories of U.S. veterans. Amy is also the co-founder of Women & Theatre (https://www.womenandtheatre.com/), a new project that explores what it is to be a woman in the theatre industry and aims to build community and break down barriers in theatrical spaces. Amy is a proud graduate of Scripps College, and she has studied musical theater writing with the Musical Theatre Writers Collective. Outside of theatre, Amy has worked professionally in the field of sexual and reproductive health and rights, and she is also the proud mom of a rambunctious toddler named Melody.
