Allison Young
Biography
Allison Young is a saxophonist and doubler based in Greeley, Colorado. She has played on stages all over the country, from the Holland Center in Omaha, NE to the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN. Allison has performed in multiple pit orchestras, big bands, blues bands, saxophone quartets, and concert bands. She has performed and taught soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone saxophone, and enjoys playing music in a large variety of genres. Allison was recently named the 2020 Presser Scholar at the University of Northern Colorado, where she is a junior majoring in Music Business and Music Technology. She studies both classical and jazz saxophone with esteemed performers Dr. Andrew Dahlke and Marc Schwartz.
