Biography
Alara Magritte is a lyricist, composer, playwright, educator, and filmmaker whose work is often focused on uncovering the intricacies of the habitual. Her work plays with linguistic rhythm and utilizes cross-media collaboration.
Full length musicals: SAFE HANDS (Lime Arts 20x20 Fringe Festival), WITH GREAT POWER (Finalist, Blank Theatre Young Playwrights). Other works include THE TANGIBLE TOLLBOOTH (Winner, California Playwrights' Project), ADRENALINE (TheatreWorks Student Reading Series), and DIAL UP. Songs include: "Snow One Else (But You)" (lyrics, Playdate Theatre Holiday E.P.), "Santa Needs Some Help" (Semi-Finalist, International Songwriting Competition).
