Job Description
RWS is holding auditions for jazz musicians In New York City on October 12. We are looking for strong readers and improvisors for "Third Avenue West" a resident guest-entertainer ensemble on Holland America Line.
The following roles are available:
-Upright Bass (no electric bassists)
-Guitar (Experience with Nylon String a plus)
-Piano
2-weeks rehearsal in NYC
4-6 month contracts at sea
Single Cabin, no crew duties.
Worldwide Itineraries
Rehearsal pay $775/week
On-Board Pay $1,100/week
Varying dates through 2024
This gig requires ADVANCED SIGHT READING SKILLS. You must be able to read full music notation. This includes notes and rhythms. If you cannot read music, please do not apply.

How to Apply
FOR PRESCREEN VIDEOS
Record yourself playing and improvising on two contrasting pieces: a blues or jazz standard as well as a second piece of your choice (another standard, original or jazz composition). We prefer that the two submissions include one or more musicians playing with you live. If that is not possible, play-along accompaniment is allowed. We welcome additional materials, including recordings of original music, and music you have produced.
