Job Description

The Development Coordinator will be a key member of the team focused on ensuring NYC Kids
Project’s long-term sustainability. This part-time position reports to the co-founders and key
Board members. The candidate will have the opportunity to be deeply engaged with the
fundamental strategic processes and implementation of our organization.

Pay is $35/hour for 50-60 hours monthly. Hours to be mutually agreed upon / timing of work is
flexible with some weeks requiring specific hours. As of now this is a remote job – candidate
may be located anywhere. NYC residents preferred as eventually there may be in-person work.

Duties may include: (there will be some assistance from Board members and Co-founders)
● Develop and oversee our annual fundraising campaigns
● Research donor relation programs at local, state and federal art institutions
● Identify individuals, foundations and corporate donors and develop strategies to cultivate
those relationships
● Maintain ongoing communications with donors
● Administrative duties as relates to donor relations and, at times, general operations
● Digital social media marketing and fundraising
● Research on appropriate grants and grant-writing
● Collaborate with the board on the management and planning of fundraising events

Qualifications:
● Knowledge of the performing and educational arts community
● Ability to be self-starting, think creatively, work under pressure and meet deadlines
● Some experience working with non-profits, grantwriting, digital fundraising
● Familiarity with database management (Tessitura, Salesforce, Salsa, etc.) for
development purposes
● Willingness to assist with administrative tasks if needed
