If you want to know how operas are written, this introductory workshop will offer artistic and practical advice for those interested in writing for the opera. Topics covered will include: how operas are written, what makes an effective libretto, and the differences and similarities between writing for the musical theatre and the opera. In addition to artistic issues, practical advice on how to take the leap to opera will be included, with information about resources, training opportunities, and how to find collaborators.
